    HI Will and TT Team,

I currently use a tour bag through the summer and as long as I can into the winter. I really like the fact that I can use all the available storage without any concern about weight.

When conditions dictate carrying, I have a couple of options. The first is an older +4 stand bag, which I tend to use in winter and when on holiday. In general, it’s fit for purpose: plenty of pockets and the weight is manageable even with a full set. That said, I’ve had a few issues. The stand doesn’t always retract properly and tends to droop down unexpectedly, which seems to be a common problem. I’ve also had repeated issues with the strap system — the straps would pop out of the central plastic retainer, causing them to separate. This made it uncomfortable to carry and a bit fiddly to reattach mid-round, i ended up swapping the straps with my other bag which was a better and possible later design. It’s probably time for an upgrade, so I’d be happy to try and test alternatives

My second option is a smaller carry bag (can’t recall the name) with a short, fixed plastic stand. It’s great for throwing a few clubs in for a quick few holes or practice. It’s comfortable to carry and will take a full set, although it can be a bit tight and clubs sometimes jam. For winter use, though, it’s not ideal — being lower to the ground means towels and accessories tend to get wet in softer conditions.

Thanks and look forward to catching up at some point this season.

    Hi Will,
Been using a Titleist Premium carry / stand bag for the winter (when you have to carry) or the summer for a quick round for a few years now.
Looking for new carry bag this year to upgrade, my main features were:
    - Weight
    - being able to hold 14 clubs with oversize grips
    - a magnetic rangefinder pocket
    - Comfortable to carry
Although i was keen on a Titleist carbon carry bag, my choice for the above reasons went to the Vessel DXR Sunday III (500 gr more) but has a magnetic rangefinder pocket.
Been using it for a while now, 14 clubs with oversize grips fit well and although the side pockets are a bit smaller than the Titleist Carbon Range, they are sufficient to carry enough for the winter.
We all know that the bigger the pockets the more unnecessary items you carry, and the heavier the bag is !

I have the premium carry bag and find it very useful as a lightweight option.

The straps do twist a bit and clubs can be difficult to get out at times but for a bag of this size we can't expect much more really.

I tend to use a trolley in the summer with my cart 15 bag so the premium carry is either used for a quick evening 9 holes or at this time of year if I want a lighter option than my stadry carry bag.

The only real downside for me is that it could benefit from a plastic bottom to prevent grips getting wet and the bag getting dirty.
  4. I have a Team Titleist Players 4 carry bag. The only use it gets is trips abroad. Despite it being a really lightweight bag, I play a very hilly course and find it a struggle ascending the hills whilst carrying.

What improvements could be made? I can’t fault the weight. I do like the bottle holders on the players 5 bag and also on the Albatross Cart bag I have - perhaps these could be standard across all carry bags?

I struggle with stand bags because i have large grips tried the 14 club tops and different openings but i struggle with the grips.

In Ireland not the UK but probably similar condition, I think people are misreading the OP. I don’t feel the carry and premium carry are really suitable for winter golf on this side of atlantic. We were carry only today at my course but I took linkslegend as the carry and premium carry are not great in any kind of lush wet rough at this time of year, the ‘waterproof’ belly is only really for very light dew. And the clubs heads and towel end up sitting in the wet grass.

I do love the old version premium carry for fully packed up car travel in summer as it folds up so small without the spine.

I’d personally like to see a titleist Japanese style 9 hole Sunday bag available here. So only room for 6 or 7 clubs but a proper solid stand bag, more practical for the winter on this side of the Atlantic and not so much or a search for somewhere to put it down to keep clubs dry. I’d add one to the line up for winter carry. Then the old premium carry for summer rounds when it’s dry enough, linkslegend for carry for more serious rounds, staydry premium cart for wet weather competition rounds and then my vessel cart XV for rest of completion rounds. IMO titleist really needed a linkslegend style compact cart bag like the vessels. Much more compact but as much storage and much more low key and premium.

  7. Hi Will an Team Titleist,

I am currently gaming the black and white Titleist Tour Series Premium StaDry Waterproof Golf Stand Bag.

Playing in Ireland the waterproof element works great but the only one point I would make is I fine the rain hood poor as it is not clipped on therefore making it a nightmare when playing in heavy downpours.

Had lighter bags but I can carry this around with ease and also works great on a trolly.

I have a staydry premium cart bag and need it for the weather up here in Scotland considering the amount of clothes you need to carry I prefer to use a trolly and carry as much as I need to and not worry about being economical due to carrying, I had a 2007 staydry carry bag that I loved!
  9. I love the look and quality of my bag, I always great comments about it!
The only thing I would change are the black buckles, the paint rubs off of them over time, but not the end of the world!

    Cheers Will

Hi TT , I use a players 4 carry bag for the winter . There plenty of pockets & the weight is ideal
  11. Players 4 carry bag is brilliant - so light which helps for evening summer rounds - durable too, I like the design and the large pockets
  12. Hi Will & Gear Team,

I switched from my Titleist mid-size tour bag to a premium carry bag a few years ago as enjoy the versatility of carrying and sometimes using a small push trolley without having to change bags. Simple, effective design is key, with quality finishing and comfort also high on the wish-list.

I like the classic looks and high quality features of the Links Legend, so am looking forward to getting one in 2026.

Thanks for all the great work!

    Hi Will
I’ve used a Stadry Cart bag and a Stadry Carry for about 5 years. I only use the carry in winter or for trips away.
I’ve found both live up to their name of keeping the contents dry even in heavy rain. The fact I’ve had both for 5 years is testament to their durability.
I’ve not had a problem with the spring loading of the legs as some others mention. I am now finding that the protective cuff on the Cart bag is getting worn and the zip on the cover is also going, so I’ll probably replace this bag for the Spring.
My priorities in selecting these bags was lightweight for the carry and waterproof for both. I also like to have a minimum of 5 dividers and the variety of pockets for accessories.
For the Cart bag I’d also consider a design with a slot for my Scotty Cameron.

    Hi Will and Team Titleist,

I,m about to start using the Hybrid 14 stadry. I've only recently started playing and it seems to be the best fit for me.
  15. I don't use one and its not something I would look at getting either. I see them as a one trick pony kind of thing - I don't like the idea of having different bags for different occasions/purposes. I have one bag that is good in all use cases (carrying, on a trolley and on a buggy). I can just leave all my clubs and stuff in the bag and grab it when I play golf, not have to switch everything into different bags.
  16. I've got a Titleist pencil bag, players 4 carry bag & a a staff tour bag. They get alternated depending on what i'm doing.

I'm in the market for a new stand bag but one comment i do have about all Titleist bags in that the zips are made of cheese. I think i've broken all of them over the years & all the zip pullers have had to be replaced with bits of cord. (Maybe this is user error though!)

The other niggle is that the graphite protector on the Players 4 bag is held on by velcro, so over the years its come away & now sits loose inside the top of the bag. I much prefer the furry top of the tour bag.

I've looked for a few replacements recently & one thing i've noticed is that the Titleist premium carry bag is sturdy but pretty heavy. I only really carry over winter & if i'm out for a few holes after work in summer, but weight is the primary criteria for me. I've been looking at the Sun Mountain carbon one too.

Have always used Titleist stand bags, into double figures now. Currently use a 2024 Hybrid 14 StaDry.
No recent bag has improved on it.
14 full length dividers are a must for me.
    StaDry is a must.
Everything works very well. It’s well balanced, solid and stylish. Never had issues with faults or excessive wear.

However it could be improved in a few ways.

I’d definitely like more pockets, particularly small zip or magnetic pockets for smaller items like tees and markers which get lost in the few bigger pockets. They are not very practical in that sense.
    A dedicated magnetic rangefinder pocket.
A few more places to hang things from.
Far more interesting colour options - recent releases have been very plain and dull. New colour schemes are what usually makes me want to change. A custom design option would be
  18. Hi Tom and TT Members,

Currently have the midsize cart bag (black and white) previously had the US Open version. Love these bags, perfect for the trolley and have loads of storage. Helps with keeping water proofs in the bag. Looks amazing on the course, don’t tend to carry. Golf’s tough enough some days so keeping it simple and easy on the shoulders definitely helps the score.
