I played 65rounds of golf last year, I rock a 52 and 58 wedge not counting a PW GW. I've notice the spin dropping off on my 52 according to trackman im averaging about 7087 of spin. Should I replace that wedge?

My Golf Spy just published on wedges in general. After the equivalent of 75 rounds and from 50 yards, the spin dropped from 7700 to 3600.

Without knowing your starting spin and if this is a full swing,, likely you haven’t reduced spin by half. You can compare the spin with the other 2 wedges to see if this is a significant drop by comparison.

The good news is you are looking at this. Based on how much you play and if performance is declining, then that is the time. Most golfers never depend on spin and also don’t notice the slow decline over time. 2 piece ionomer balls, heads not cleaned in this decade, and sand wedges from an iron set are clues.….

The number of the rounds is just a guide. The best person to answer your question is you. How you expect performance is your guide to replace. My 58 is used primarily from green side bunkers. I might go several rounds without using it. The number of rounds is not a good gauge.
