  1. Afternoon all TT.

So keeping to my word I went to the range and short game area today for 1 hour and 30 Mins.

I started with some small warm up routines and got my blood flowing and then grabbed a 52 Vokey wedge and just hit around 15 balls with a half swing just to get a feel.

Then moved though the bag from My pitching wedge then into a 7 and 5 iron, hitting a total of 45 balls, 15 with each club.

I tend to find hitting any more than 15 a club I lose a little rhythm so keeping to what I know works best.

I then worked on my new hybrid input into the bag 818 H2 23 Degree. Have to admit I need to go back and work on this club a little more.

Moved onto wedges 20/30/40 yards out using my 52 and 58.

Overall was great to get back out. Happy Golfer.

Good work Simon, short game practice is where you'll really see yourself saving shots per round.

Vary your practice schedule to mimic the variety of shots you'll face on the course and your short game will be the envy of anyone you play against.

I have huge respect for the players whose short game is on point as I know how difficult it is to dial it in.. keep up the hard work!
  5. Cheers. Will post some more information next time with some photos as well

    Simon,

Now is the time to get out and practice those punch shots and playing in the wind. It's a pity we only get to play in one direction at most ranges so playing different wind directions isn't an option.

I played yesterday and pitching was challenging with down wind and across wind shots the hardest.

With your practice try not to hit two consecutive shots to the same target from the same place, variation is the key as Lefty says you'll never hit two shots from the same place to the same target on the course.

Try and build some scoring into the practice so you can measure your progress.

    Ant.
