hi all, just been scouring ebay looking at anything titleist related and found someone selling a gt3 driver head with lead tape installed. one 3g in h2 and 5g of tape in t2. interestingly stating then this somehow gains MOI?

claims that many pros have it setup like this.. surely the weight is best situiated in the region of area you consistanty strike the ball? any views on this.

    regards

I just purchased a GT2 18 degree hybrid and I was looking to get some heavier weights for the club. I had weights for the GT2 3 wood that I have. The fairways recently have been cut very low and I think with a heavier weight it would get the ball higher. I have different shafts for the hybrid.
  3. I use lead tape on all my clubs for various reasons...just buy a roll via amazon. It does affect playability where you place strips as well as the swingweight of the club.

I wish the factory when I ordered clubs on this site would allow me to request a swingweight for irons or woods so they could weight it properly for me. I prefer D-4 in my irons and woods.

Depending on where you place the tape on sole will affect the playability of the club depending on the amount of lead tape you use. Toe placement for fade or heel for draw or rear of club for flight higher...etc...

    Good Luck!
