Duck Lake Country Club in Albion, Michigan, one of favorite courses. Hole number 5, round not off to a great start, 109 to a front pin, slight up hill. Choked up on an easy pitching wedge. Solid contact, landed just long and right of the hole by about 12 feet, started rolling back to towards the hole. I just thought I hit a good shot and would have short birdie putt, so I bent down to pick up my tee before it stopped. As I’m going for the tee, my uncle-in-law said “that might go in”. And it did, I never saw it, but he did. He went nuts. I was in shock, my first hole-in-one. I was dizzy for the next two holes.
