I just put a new set of Titleist T250s in the bag and decided to debut them at my club’s member-guest.
I had 173 yards to the pin with a little wind in my face and hit the smoothest, purest 7-iron of my life. The Pro V1 landed about five feet short of the flag, rolled forward, and disappeared into the cup.
What makes it even more special is the connection to my first hole-in-one. That one was also a 7-iron from exactly 173 yards, using a ball my mom gave me as a graduation gift.
This time, the ball was a gift from my dad for inviting him to the member-guest.
Two hole-in-ones. Both from 173 yards. Both with a 7-iron. And both with golf balls given to me by my parents for two completely different special occasions.
Pretty incredible how that worked out.
