I started golfing at the age of 10 with my father and grandfather who taught me how to play and love the game of golf. I have been close to a whole in one so many times and have several pictures of balls one roll away from a whole in one, but never had one go in. On July 11th 2026 that all changed. I was playing golf at one of my favorite courses with one of my best friends when I pulled out my 7 iron on the 12th hole 154yrds with wind in the face. I told my friend that I was going to put this next to the pin. I hit a solid shot and watched the ball head toward the pin landing on the green and rolling to the pin when I saw the ball disappear into the whole! I threw my hands in the air and yelled out I just got my first whole in one! It took me 45 years of playing golf before I experienced my first whole in one and the feeling was exhilarating. This is the greatest game on earth.
