On our annual golf trip to Eagle Eye Golf Club in East Lansing, Michigan, I made the first hole-in-one of my life on Hole #5 during the second round of Day 1—just one day before the Michigan Amateur Championship was set to begin.
The shot was 161 yards, and I hit a T250 9-iron that landed just past the pin, took one hop, and spun back into the cup. Watching it disappear was a moment I’ll never forget.
I was playing a custom Titleist Pro V1x, and there’s something special about knowing the ball that found the bottom of the cup was the same ball I trust every round. Sharing the moment with nine of my closest friends on our annual golf trip made it even more memorable.
