First hole-in-one

Good afternoon, my name is Dean Cooper and my membership number is 1005994569, my home club is Grim’s ***. Last week I attended the HSBC Golf Association golf week (attending as an HSBC pensioner), this year’s was the 96th annual golf week the hosts this year were Royal Porthcawl GC and Pyle & Kenfig GC. On Monday 11th May on the first day which was at Pyle & Kenfig GC of a 2 day stableford competition played on the two courses, I stood on the 15th tee playing off the yellow tee 184 yards. It was extremely windy and I used my driver. I hit a good shot and my playing partners thought that it was going to be close but we could not see the hole, it was only when we got to the green that my playing partner confirmed that my ball was in the hole. It was my first hole in one. At the Annual Gala dinner and Prize Giving last Friday I was presented with a Pyle & Kenfig GC club tie by their general manager. Earlier this month I ended my year of Captaincy at Grim’s *** so it’s been a very memorable month.
