I started golfing in 2016 and after multiple close calls throughout the years at a hole in one (including 2 lip outs) I finally hit my first one on April 8, 2026 at Northstone Country Club outside Charlotte, NC. Hole 5 was playing 160 yards with a decent breeze at my back. I pulled 9 iron and as I walked up on the tee, my friend Gage (Haven Golf) saw the Pinehurst tee in the ground already and said “It’s meant to be”. I placed my Titleist ProV1 #14 on the tee and set up. I proceeded to flush my 9 iron with a slight draw. It landed about 5 yards right of the pin and spun left and disappeared. We initially thought it was long because there was a ridge blocking the hole from our vantage point. It wasn’t until we reached the green that I realized the ball was in the hole. The celebration began instantly!
