  1. My relevant details are: Name; Colin Webber Playing card shown above Course Played Orton Meadows GC Date of round 29/10/2025 (09.33 yellow tee)

My comments: I am 74 and have been playing for over 40 years without ever achieving a hole in one - so I was very excited to get this score. My playing partners were Peter Burgoyne (who marked my card, and who, by the way, came 03rd in the competition) and Gary Haynes (who kindly took the photo of me retrieving my ball, a Titleiist 2 Toursoft) on the 07th green par 3, distance of 136 yards, yellow tees). In my younger days I got down to a respectable h/c of 10, (in my captains year (2004). However I’ve never managed to achieve a hole in one until this week. I have always enjoyed my golf particularly in later life but between 2004 and now I have had health set backs of cancer and, two years ago, open heart surgery and, as a consequence (plus “old age”) my H/c has suffered and I reached a peak this year of 27. I have been fortunate to have had the support of many golfing friends through this journey and very gradually have managed to see some recent H/c reductions. It is worth mentioning a special shout out to my local professional for her patience in recent times and on Tuesday of this week we concentrated on my "iron play". The next day, as you can see, I scored my first hole in one - thank you so much Suzanne Dickens (lady professional at Nene Valley Golf). Thanks go also to those of my closest golfing friends (they know who they) for their encouragement over recent years when my golf has been dire and, on Wednesday (my big day) to Pete and Gary for reminding me to stop for a photo, and to keep my ball safe for the memory (sound advice as I lost my replacement ball a few holes later!). Thanks also to those who stayed behind for a celebratory drink at the Blind Tiger. Many thanks Colin Webber f05c6512-1ee0-484c-8978-c21521a12d7f.jpeg
