I wanted to post my initial experience after two visits to the range with my new 716 AP1's that were custom fitted for me. I went with Mitsubishi KuroKage 65 G graphite shafts, which were SST pure. My iron set includes 6, 7, 8, 9, P, W, W2 and a Vokey 58 K-grind. Additionally, I'm using two 816H1's (21 and 25) in place of my 4 and 5 irons. My bag also includes a 917D2 Driver and two 917F2 Metals.

Unlike many of the folks here I just picked up this great game in March of this year at the age of 45. Wanting to improve as quickly as possible, this summer I started taking weekly lessons.

Getting back to my new clubs, I've discovered that the AP1's and especially the Vokey wedge force me to have a better swing to get the ball to fly straight. Don't get me wrong the payoff is a ball that jumps off the face of the club.

By no means am I saying I have completely adjusted to my new clubs but I see the great potential to improve my game using these new irons. As for the 917D2 and F2's, I saw an immediate improvement over my previous clubs. With a bit more practice with my new irons, I will walk on to the course with so much more confidence than before thanks, Titleist!

Congratulations on your new equipment CM! I switched almost 5 years ago from another manufacturer and I am loving the Titleist gear! They treat you well here at Titleist!
  4. Two months ago I was all TM with the exception of my wedges and putter. Then I got a 915F. Then I picked up some CBs on eBay. Then my UDI didn't look or feel like my CBs so I got an AP2 4i with a Tour AD 105X. All of a sudden my hybrid didnt match so my perfectionist self went out to get fit and what do you know, I loved the 915H. Naturally, I had to order a 915D3 with a Tour AD-DI 6X. What a great brand. Proud to be on Team Titleist for sure, it's like a brotherhood!

  7. Welcome to Team Titleist, CM! I too am in the process of converting to all Titleist products, only have 3 clubs left and I'll be all Titleist. I couldn't be happier with my Titleist gear and I'm sure you will feel the same way. Great products!

Congrats, we have very similar bag setups as well. I switched to an all Titleist Bag during this season and my handicap dropped from a 26 to a 17. I don't think it's a coincidence.
