I am a +2 handicap, and hit a seven iron around 165. What's better for me? CB or MB?

I think that is a question best answered by your fitter! Whatever anyone else says here is just a personal opinion, which is not supported by the facts.

I believe it's all about feel and what you feel most comfortable with. I am a 7 handicap, and have been playing the 690 MB for years. I find the increased workability and feel more than make up for any decrease in forgiveness. The CB will give you a bit more forgiveness, but to me there is no better feeling than a well struck iron with the MB. Plus, I find it is much easier to manipulate ball flight in different situations (I swear by my 690 MB 2 iron on punch shots getting out of tight lies)
  4. I would go MB...period! The lofts are the same however with the CB it might go farther due to the forgiving design.

Best to get fitted otherwise you may regret your purchase.

Whenever I read a question like this that asks what is best, or what is better almost inevitably the person asking this question already knows which club they prefer and is just asking for physcological justification for their decision. Only you know what is better for you as the word better has a subjective meaning. If you asked which club do you think will perform better I would say the CB has been designed to perform better but this is not what you asked. So my answer to your question is the club that you think is better is the better club.

Thank you all! Is there any good in strengthening the lofts a degree in the MBs to make up for the distance loss?

Hi Jake, ... you can have the MB's loft adjusted to be stronger. I'm not sure if you have gone for a full on fitting yet, but if you have not, I would encourage you to do so ... doing so will give you plenty of feedback through the launch monitor/Trackman, etc. to things such as distances, launch, etc. This will allow you to assess for yourself and the fitter what your lofts can be or should be so that you get a good combination of distances and "gapping" between irons.

I have a mix of CBs and T-MBs and I totally love the feeling and flight of the T-MBs, so I suggest you to test these clubs as well, there's no better feeling than the sweet spot of the T-MBs

T-MBs for me, but I have to say it's also a lot to do with what shaft you're using, the obvious answer is to go and get fitted by your local Titleist fitter, it's made a real difference for me as it stops me asking the question if I've got the right tools for my game !

suggest to meet up with your local fitter and try both.
He can show you on the computer which one might fit better

Like others have said, get fit. I played MB's (off the rack) for 15 years and recently got fitted. Ended up with 716CB's at 2 degrees upright. My biggest increase was in the long irons. I can finally flush my 3 and 4 irons. Something I wasn't doing before. It's not about handicap or how far you hit an iron. If your equipment doesn't match your swing things get frustrating.
