Really like the look of the 917 offerings and can't wait to test them out.

Will have some questions for Titleist at Pinehurst. But overall will still make the switch. Not looking for distance more than consistency.

Same here. I'm expecting the excitement to be through the roof in Pinehurst. I can't wait to hit it and hope there are some reps or techs around to anser questions and guide in the right direction. I'm not expecting anything like a full fitting for each person.

But not having been to one of these events, I'm not sure how the demo aspect of it goes.

Had a chance at a fitting on the 917s. Expect more. Starting with my 913 D2 settings the 917 was marginally better. Working the Trackman into O.T. with shafts and hosel adjustments and then fine-tuning it with the COG weight, I gained 20 yards and a better pattern. But it definitely is not an off the rack setup. The club is definitely designed to work with your fitter to be exactly for you.

I had a chance to get fit on Friday in Oceanside. We started with my current shaft from the 915 and worked from there. I'll echo what Don said above, this is not an off the rack purchase, the power of the 917 is fine tuning all the settings. At the end of the day, I picked up about 10-15 yards (5 on carry, but another 10 or so on the roll) by changing the CG. Tim, my biggest improvement was in consistent shot shape and number of shots close to the center line.
