  1. Hello there, I'm interested in purchasing new 716 AP2 heads only. My local retailer cannot sell me just the heads. I'm interested in building them myself with the desired shafts and grips i like. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks Steve

Titleist doesn't sell just the heads. Check out the custom options booklet, they may offer the shafts and grips you want to use.

    Hi Steve,
Are you aware that there a multiple options available for different shafts and grips for the 716 AP2's?

I have the 714 version and after a pretty lengthy fitting process in which I tried various different shafts with the assistance of both the professional fitter and with the Track Man, we found a combination that provided me with the best fit.

I understand the appeal of assembling your own clubs -- after all, I still remember the days when I could lean under the hood of the car and swap out the points and condenser and perform an old fashioned tune up!

However, all said, I'd be surprised that you could not find the right combination of shafts and grip to go with the new clubs.

Pretty Sure Titleist will only sell you a assembled set of irons.
Why don't you just have Titleist make them to your specs???
They will do an amazing job and back their work up.

    Cheers,

I'm afraid you are out of luck with this one. Titleist will not supply heads separately. Your best bet is to order the clubs you want with the shafts from Titleist and specify to not install the grips. Personally, I would just have them put on the grips you want too!

19th- I'm relatively new to using Titleist clubs and have found the company very accommodating.
Last month, I ordered a set of AP1s. Titleist shipped the clubs with grips loose so I could trade them for my grips (Crossline Midsize are not a Titleist custom option). I didn't know that was possible. That was a nice touch, both from the retailer and Titleist.

Titleist is the best, get a custom made set, and you won't look back.

SIRHC, I have ordered a few sets of clubs for customers and asked for the grips to be shipped uninstalled in the box. They preferred a grip that Titleist did not offer and rather than charge them for another set of grips, I installed the grip they wanted and kept the supplied grips to use on another customer's Titleist irons. A great option from Titleist that saved one customer some money and another got replacement grips that were just like the factory ones.
