All, been playing TP5x since I was over spinning the TP5 with my irons. Been wanting to go back to or try to go back to Either Prov1 or maybe even left Dash ProV1x. Anyone had any similar experiences or changed. My driver swing speed is 114-116. Mainly looking for stability off the tee and a ball that I won’t over spin with irons/ wedges.

Use AI to give you some comparisons at least on paper. Put in your driver/shaft info and which balls you are comparing. Gives you some really good data to look at. Of course nothing beats actually trying the balls on course to see how it goes. I think the biggest difference you will see between the TP5x and the Left dash will be how the ball spins on the green especially with wedges. Do you want the ball to drop and stop/spin back or run out a bit? Of course I would recommend Titleist over other brands based on the outstanding quality control and performance.

I've never met this "AI" guy but my guess is he doesn't have much experience on a real golf course.
This is the one time I will guess that the members of this forum will have the best answers.
Balls are relatively cheap. Barring a full on ball fitting, get a sleeve of each you're interested in and play them yourself.

Asking this question on a forum loaded with biased Titleist users, the recommendation will be to try Pro-V1 or Left Dash Pro-V1x.

Not to say that TP5 or TP5x aren’t tour quality balls, but there are limited users using these balls not on TM contract. At any level. Even Tiger plays a different brand ball on contract for TM clubs. There are those that may find these preferable to Pro-V series balls outside of the tours, but again, not many. Whatever suits your game, go for it.
  5. I’ve played tp5x for the entire of the this generations ball. It’s been a good ball and I found the latest pro v1 (my normal back up) to now cut too easily. Hoping to try the new left dash when I can get my hands on it.

Prov1. Am a Titleist loyalist. Gave up playing TM products years ago.

Only time my Prov1 cut was when I hit it into the edge of a cart path, years ago.

It's your swing over spinning it, not the golf ball. Both balls are very good overall, your club coming into the ball determines the angle of approach. This angle produces the level of spin. Have a ball fitting done if you can, I'm sure a good fitter will help you. Good Luck!
