  1. How often are you guys changing out balls in your simulators? I got a case of the shanks with my wedges indoors and once I fought them off, I was getting super super low spin on all my wedge shots (like, sub 4k). Eventually junked the set of balls I had been using for a fresh set of Pro V1xs and was instantly back above 10k+ - stupid of me not to try switching balls out sooner. I think I had just beaten the old ones to death for too long.

The nice thing about a simulator is you can see your numbers. I don’t typically change them out unless my numbers start to change.
  3. I go by numbers too, once they drop for no real reason, change the ball. The thing with simulators is that when you're hitting into a screen, the ball coming off the face doesn't have time to recover it's form from being hit meaning it's probably still somewhat out of shape from the initial contact by the time it smashes into the screen. That tends to compromise the structure and I've cracked a Pro V1x from over use in a simulator.

This is a very interesting question. I wonder if there any of the ball researcher people who have the data on this. Obviously if your measured numbers are changing then there needs to be a change, but I wonder how many times a ball can be smacked into a simulator screen does it take for that to happen. Kinda like a tootsie pop
