  1. I am a high handicap and slow swinger. I have been using the tru feel this year and love them. I would like to get a little more spin into the greens. Anyone have any suggestions? Thinking of trying the tour soft. How do they compare to the tru feel?

This spring l tested these balls for an equipment website. I got more spin from the Tru Feel than the Tour Soft. I also have a slower swing speed (75 mph driver). My experience has been that the premium balls with Urethane covers will have the superior green-holding spin when compared to the softer lower compression balls. Got a set of the T250* Launch Spec irons in August and these have really helped with my approach shots. The weaker lofts and complementary technology give me the higher launch I need with not much loss in distance. The Tru Feel and Tour Soft are impressive for distance, as are the Velocity balls, but the trade off is less spin on the approach shots.

Am 79, and happy with the spin I get with the Prov1s on the greens. Low spin of my driver, great distance.

In the same general speed range as you, there are multiple factors to consider. There’s the ball, groves of the club face, and your ball striking.
The evidence is strong that urethane covers will spin much higher than an ionomer ball. ….With sharp/fresh groves on a wedge. And pinching the ball on striking. I’ve always been using urethane balls and Vokey wedges. But with a slower swing and a tendency towards sweeping the ball, my spin numbers aren’t exceptional. I’m working on changes to my short game for better results with wedges.
There’s no harm with trying TourSoft in place of your TruFeel, but you may need other changes to see a dramatic change in spin numbers. Even trying Pro-V’s may not change your results as much as you want. That’s my experience. Good luck in your journey.
