  1. How can I do my own putter fitting? No where offers a legit service where I live. I’m curious to know how much arc is in my natural stroke

It’s easier than it used to be to get fit for a putter. If you want, there are Cameron Showcase locations. Similar to Titleist Premier locations for clubs. Some are both.

Many large retailers now offer SAM electronic fittings. Pretty sure Golf Galaxy and likely PGA Superstores now offer these.

There are a couple of the putter vendors that offer accepting videos by you with a buddy filming that will assess your stroke. A good in person fitting can help you find the correct length for your stroke as well a toe hang matched to your stroke.

On your own, if you can find full, partial and no toe hang models. If you focus on your alignment over the ball for correct length- choking down if the putter , that will get you length. Next, take a natural swing with each of the putters while not trying to get the ball online. One should hold the intended line better than the others. If you have to force the face open or closed, that toe hang won’t be for you.

Besides offering suggestions to correct your swing, a fitter will be needed to set loft and lie as well as recommending a grip size.

Hi, I think Scotty Cameron , « The art of putting » article could help you to understand.
Just goggle it and read it.
You will understand that the placement of the shaft on the putter’s head had a big influence on.putting.
This a the arc of natural stroke explanation. If you match your stroke with the good putter for you, putting will be easier.

Try some puts with 3 different model, minimum toe flow, medium toe flow and maximum toe flow. After that you should notice the type of putter is working for you. Some model, you will always be left, others will be right and the other very straight.

Now you know the type that is working for you. Next should be the perfect length and weight that are working for you. Consider the distance control first when you are practicing. No more 3 putts.

I hope this is answering your question.
Best regards and have a nice season,
