  1. Is it possible to bend an AP1?  If so, could it be bent from a standard lie to 3 degrees up?

    Thanks,  Mike

  2. Hi Mike -

Yes. The AP1 can be custom ordered with a 3 degree up lie angle.  We bring in a STD head and a 2 UP head so that we can bend the AP1 to 4 degrees upright.

If you are asking if your current set of standard irons can be bent to 3 degrees upright from standard we would not recommend it.  Our Warranty and Repairs Department can accommodate +/- 2 degrees on a standard head without risking damage to the club head.

When a club is bent, exactly how can that be done without affecting the loft or bounce angle of the sole? If you bend a club more upright, wouldn't the loft increase slightly, or if flattened the loft decrease?

When you strengthen the loft, it has to change the bounce characteristics of the sole, so I guess my question is, can't bending things be taken too far?

If a club is bent flat or upright, you can do that without affecting the loft or the bounce.  However, when you change loft, you will affect the bounce accordingly.  So if you bend the loft 1° strong, you will also decrease the bounce by 1° and if you bend the loft 1° weak, you will add 1° of bounce to the club.
