I find the spin rates are slightly higher when fitted on mats. Plus, the ball tends to fly higher when hitting on a mat. I fit on both but make slight adjustments when on mats.

I think I have been given a test sleeve and they played outstanding and wish I could get more. Probably in the store next year???
