Did you sharpen your wedge?  I sharpened my old cleveland wedges and I was ripping pro v covers like they were orange peels.  I hope the new Pro V's I just bought will wear a little better than previous models...

I played original Titleist Tour Model forged back in the day. Then went to 690 MB's. Now I have the AP2's with KBS Tour shafts, Titleist keeps churning out the best product available.
