I think I have it figured out. I asked a golf shop in Lexington and they said maybe since its on the chrome part the paint might have a hard time sticking onto it..

Hi David,

Unfortunately it's very hard to repair the original finish on the metals when they have ball marks and the like. We don't refinish any metals or irons only putters via the Cameron Studio.
