As we stood on the tee box we talked about how only one of us had a hole in one, and that one came when Mike was 12 years old! Due to cooler weather and additional clothing I clubbed up to a 9 iron and struck the ball well. It was a gently drawing shot into a slightly elevated green 124 yards away. The ball drew toward the hole, bounced once and rolled a few feet toward the pin. Due to the elevation when couldn't see the actual surface of the green but could see the ball rolling and suddenly disappearing. Jim says it's in the hole but I said, no, it rolled off the back as the pin was near the back of the green. When we got to the green I searched behind the green but Jim went directly to the hole and shouted, "It's in the hole!"
