Seconds better than the first

I started the day rounding up a threesome for a local scramble tournament. Unfortunately I was wrong on the date and we couldn’t even get a tee time at that course. Luckily we went to a nicer course down the road, they squeezed us in, and six holes later: BANG! I pulled a recently purchased sand wedge out on a 104 yd hole that is surrounded by water. Not too confident with the new club but always hoping for the best. Put a pure stroke in the ball and said "If it's not too long, I like it". The ball hit the green about six feet beyond the hole so I walked back to the cart satisfied. Before I could take two steps my playing partners started to holler that it was spinning back. By the time I looked up the ball was gone!
