I have only played a Titlist ball since mid-80s. On March 15, 2001, I was fortunate to be playing The Links at Spanish Bay (Pebble Beach area), CA. On hole # 3 (par 4), I found the just released Titleist Pro V1 in the rough. I pocketed it and told myself I would use it on the upcoming # 8 (par 3). So...I teed up the newly found ProV1 on the # 8 tee box...and guess what happened? A hole in one...the very first time I ever hit the ProV1 ball!!! Needless to say...I've played the Pro V1 (now ProV1x) ball ever since.
