resift...as I feel the integrity of shaft might be compromised. last thing u want is to have break off...head goes into water hazard....just saying

Interesting, never heard of this. Iron shafts aren’t too expensive so if it was me I’d go to my local shop and replace so the thought that it’s off kilter occurs to me every time I hit it. 3 irons are hard enough to smack correctly as it is.

I've tried it a few times and managed to get the shaft quite hot to the touch, but I have not been able to remove a non-kinked bend. I believe that, once heated, the next step is to lean on the shaft with a fulcrum at the 'bend point' and try to reverse the bend. Putting the towel over a chair back or a vice hasn't managed to do it. Maybe I need more heat. Maybe I need to watch someone who is proficient at it.

I've reduced the bend a couple times but still needed to reshaft, so I stopped trying.

Never heard of that before, that tustve been an old school tactic. If its just a steel shaft iron, those shafts aren't that expensive. id recommend just getting a new shaft put in it!
