Chris G - I do what you do. If the balls make it to the end of the round, into the practice bag. I use an odd-numbered ball on odd numbered holes, even for even # holes.
I remove the ball from play if I birdie the hole (kind of rare) or hit it 300+ yards (very rare; like once/year).

I play the ProV1 (not the "x") and I often play the same ball for 3-4 rounds. I always carry two in my pocket (different #s) and will alternate on different holes (unless I get a birdie, in which case I will ride the good mojo).

Naturally, if a ball gets a cart-path scuff or hits a pine tree and gets all sappy, I will bag it for another, but otherwise, they just keep on going, like the Energizer Bunny.

That's one reason why I think ProV1 is a much better value (even at $4+ a ball) than the premium offerings from TM and Cally, because the durability is far superior. Their balls are nice, but good luck finishing a round with one ball surviving.

Pro Vx one ball one round! After the round I usually just give the ball away to the cart guys or leave it on the putting green or toss it on the range. One and done!

I play the NXT Tour and the Pro V1. I play them as long as I can. Usually until I loose it or scuff badly.

I average 6 to 7 rounds.If its a extra good golf ball i'll get 12 to 14 rounds out of it. I Like'm when they look like an old piLLow. awsome for short game I'v spilt three pro v 1's with a 2 iron in the last 3 years . Also pro v's have feel and sound that I love for putting.

It's very rare that I damage a Titleist ball before loosing it during play. I think the usable life of a ball is for as long as you can find it!

Pro V1x - Usually play it until it starts showing scuffs (I hate looking down at a marked up ball) or if I need scuba gear to hit the next shot. My "scuffy's" usually get tossed onto the practice green or into the practice net

I play Pro V1 to start, if I lose or scuff that I usually swap it out for the NXT Tour Soft. After that, I will use a used ball in my bag.

I play the PROV 1 X until it looks like its been hit by a bus. Then I usually throw in the bag and use it for practice

At the start of the round I use a New ProV1. I use it for 18 holes unless I get a scuff mark on the ball. After the round I throw the ball into my shagg bag, so when I practice I use the balls I would be using on the course to get the same feel.

I sent emails before about yellow golf balls for older hard to see players. You send me tests balls,I replied A few weeks ago at our country club I was given the new version I played them that day and told them that the ball was good for getting to the green But I couldn't drive it that far.When can we get a ProV C. ??

I play the Pro V1X and carry two balls around alternating each hole. I always start the round with new balls putting used balls into the shag bag for practice. That way, I use the same ball in practice as I do on the course.

I play the pro v1x. On a average I get between 36 to 54 holes in unless I lose it, or it loses it's luster. Then I will change to get my distance back.

I play the Pro V1X and can definitely get 36 out of it. Unless I am playing in a tournament, I always tee off with the ball I finished the last round with and rotate in a new ball on 2 or 3. Pet peeve to lose a brand new ball on the first tee if I haven't warmed up.

I play the ProV1, and I can play one ball for over 72 holes. I probably should swap them out more often, but they only get sent to shag duty if there are cuts or major scuff marks. I even played my most recent tournament with one ball that had already seen 18 holes.

I carry between 9 and 12 balls in my bag, and will rotate them through my rounds. I walk a lot so whatever I find, I will use, as long as it's a Titleist. I prefer the ProV1 when it's not real warm, but in the dead of Summer, I like the ProV1x. Don't know why, but the x seems to react better when it's warm. Will play with the ball I pull out at the start unless I lose it. The newer models of all the Titleists seem to hold up, and will come back looking good after a turn at the ball washer. Mike
