GT series price drop

Hey Guys

Woke up the other day to see the GT series has dropped in price in Canada... (And FJ traditions dropped to $140 LOL). fantastic news. Is anyone buying one or getting fit for the GT? I myself bought a TSR 2 driver and a 16.5* fairway metal when the TSR series did a price drop and looking forward to hopefully getting a GT2 driver.

My question, who/where do you get fit? I was fit for the TSI3 years ago and outgrew it as when we dod the a/b testing the TSR2 was the clear winner on the track man. I have always used 9* drivers in A2 setting for last two fit sessions and am thinking to just pull the trigger and give er a go. so to speak but I guess has anyone done club fitting at Golf Town? It would cost me $60 then id probably order it from Titleist as the shaft is glued to your fit position and call me crazy but the graphics can set me off by being "busy"

Ive always been fit into the same tensei 55g blue shaft. only difference last two fittings went from 45" to 45.5 and noticed a little longer driving distance for me so I would assume the shaft would stay the same as I really like it a lot....

Previous two times fittings were done at my old club (Truro Golf Club) which is a Titleist pro shop. When fit was done and clubs were ordered, the fitting charge was waived. At GT I'd have to pay a $60 fee.....

I work at a "tailor-made" club as the equipment mechanic/junior greenskeeper and going to University of Guelph doing my turf grass management program so the club I work at, we would never have a "Titleist fitting" hence asking about Golf Town....

I saw improvements going from TSI3 to TSR2 and hopefully will see a difference going to GT2.

Looking for opinions on fitting options.

To be fair, skipping a Golf Town fitting is a good idea in general. Even the Titleist Thursday pop-up fittings are far superior.

I ended up booking a fitting at the Titleist Regional Fitting Centre (Northview in Surrey, BC) and it was honestly night and day compared to anything else I’ve done.

Got fit into a GT2 with a 1K Black 75g X-stiff, built 1/2” short, and the difference in strike and dispersion was unreal. They actually take the time to dial everything in properly instead of just guessing.

If you’re on the fence, I’d skip Golf Town and go straight to a Titleist fitting if you can. The level of detail and how they build everything around your swing is next level. Titleist just does it right.

Love the weighting on the fairways gives your fitter a good opportunity to dial it in perfectly. I guess hybrids will be down the road but I’ll be ready

Gary Woodland - Texas Children's Huston Winner

It was not the nail biting, tense, edge of the seat finish to a PGA tournament that gets us groaning or shouting at the television, but it certainly was a hugely emotional one. For Gary Woodland to come back from brain surgery and be able to compete at such a high level is something special. For him to actually hold it together after opening up to the world on how hard it has been struggling through his PTSD following the surgery and pull off the win is amazing. Am I the only one that thought it ironic that the tournament he wins is one that has a hospital as the prime charity ??? Watching Gary in his post round interview - it was hard not to shed a tear. It is moments like these that make one love this game and the impact it has on individuals and communities. It was also nice to see that he has a custom Scotty and a ProV1 to help him into the winners circle :)

The new GTS Woods look exceptional. I have a GT driver and 3 wood and 7wood. I love them they are great. I do not know how Titleist can improve on them. I remember I said that with regard to the TSi and TSR Clubster yet Titleist did. They never cease to amaze me. I now wait with baited breath to see the GTS.

Man would it be cool to get a parcel to try these drivers out at home course!
The marketing would be insane with a few TTs out there with advance product.

Went to a fitting for the release of the Vokey sm11 wedges and they're supposed to be delivering today. Can't wait to get them and get on the range. Just want to confirm That they are just as good as when I was at my fitting session for them. I know they will be.

Thanks for the clarification Jaxson. I can fully understand the limitations presented by the accommodations at the venue. It is an excellent location and I am absolutely sure that all the golfers that manage to get in and register a spot will have a great time along with the TT Staff. Unfortunately, making a trip like that and not being able to share it with my wife (a non golfer) leaves me out... Perhaps another time :)

I grabbed the GT4 and the GT3 15° because I can’t for the life of me figure out how they’ll make better woods. In fact, I don’t really notice any real difference in the fairway wood. The GT4 with the weight in the back was a bit of an improvement over TSR4, but we’re not moving mountains here. Grab the GT’s while you can boys!
