For Gary Woodland to come back from brain surgery and be able to compete at such a high level is something special. For him to actually hold it together after opening up to the world on how hard it has been struggling through his PTSD following the surgery and pull off the win is amazing. Am I the only one that thought it ironic that the tournament he wins is one that has a hospital as the prime charity ??? Watching Gary in his post round interview - it was hard not to shed a tear. It is moments like these that make one love this game and the impact it has on individuals and communities. It was also nice to see that he has a custom Scotty and a ProV1 to help him into the winners circle :)

GTS

Oh boy. I have used YouTube to watch videos on how to fix my snow blower. I have also used the videos to figure out how to better align myself when my putts seem to come close, but not close enough. But to develop a game worthy of being in the top 5 at The Players Championship with no formal training and only watching videos ? Wow. We can all only wish to reach that level. I guess at least most of us here are Titleist players just like Sudarshan Yellamaraju , but now we need to work on the second part - Talent :) Back to You Tube for me - I need to find those videos he was watching !

Cameron Young - A Players Champion

I certainly did not see that happening ! I thought I would share my experiences with a recent fitting session for the GT driver (wanted to get one on a deal)

I did my fitting and wasVERY PLEASED with the process... however I NEED to go back to the drawing board....

In my previous post I was too generous with my numbers... I had a "dose " of reality....

My current driver is a 9* TSR2 in A2 setting as my club paths (2.5 years ago fitting) were 0 to -3 however because I was more steep than I am now, the loft helped keep spin off the ball Looking at my old fitting numbers my spin with this driver were 2700-3100 and I could "keep in in play"

This being said every winter I work on drills to become less steep and deliver the clubhead into the back of the ball more shallow and on a inside club path... I can draw all my irons no issues and do not slice anymore... however I wanted to do the fitting because I find with my current driver working on my things I tend to hit low screamers and with very little spin... so I knew something was up.. Heights are from 45-60 feet

What I found... I swing 88-92 MPH and tend to hit a 0* AOA average so he firstly increased loft (I settled on the GT1) and we tried the red Denali shaft... (brought my height to 95-120 feet and spin was 2500 on average) Really felt I could swing more compact like my 8 iron and still carry the ball 200 yards and saw numbers 230 total on TM (way better than what I have) My club paths were -1 to +3 (trying to come more from inside) its working. Negative club paths were from me "trying to go for it" and getting top half dominant and getting steep... So lessons are paying off understanding delivery and strike number results....

I have a bad itching to buy this driver... but the logical thinking kicks in and I think I will work on trying to get my AOA up to 5* (I previously thought it was there but I was wrong) so as I can optimize spin and launch windows therefore I will revisit the fitting process with the new model May or June

I talked to the fitter, he adjusted my current driver (TSR2) to B3 (one less draw click-YAY) but more loft (10.5* to help with height and launch) and I am going to work in the simulator more to try and learn how to hit up on the ball In all fairness I spend 80-90% time on a sim on wedges and irons (drills and target practice) and maybe 10% each session on driver (swinging like a mid iron- smooth and no power) to try and engrain swing delivery changes and hopefully improve. I am hoping this will eventually pay off...

All in all my Titleist fitting experience was excellent and without a doubt my fitter was very quick to come up with suggestions for heads and shafts and was extremely knowledgeable! It was a really INFORMATIVE session and I came away learning a lot.... Compared to other fittings I've done, other fittings get you to hit what you want to see with no explanation and no information.... Joe K. was AWESOME

Very Impressive!

I am writing this to seek advice or assistance from the community and Titleist staff regarding a warranty issue with my new GT3 Driver.
I am a loyal Titleist user, and my current setup is a GT3 (9.0°) factory-built with a Fujikura Ventus Black 6S shaft. Recently, during a normal practice session, I discovered a structural hairline crack developing on the crown/seam area. As shown in the attached photos, the head is in pristine condition with no sky marks, no impact abuse, and no signs of misuse. This clearly appears to be a material or bonding failure on the new thermoformed crown.
However, I am currently stuck in a frustrating "warranty loop" in Ontario, Canada:
1. The Retailers: I visited local Golf Town locations, but they declined to facilitate the shipping/inspection because the club was originally purchased abroad (Japan spec), despite it being a 100% authentic Titleist product and a brand-new model.
2. Titleist Canada Support: When contacting support, I was told that all claims must go through an authorized retailer.
Since the GT3 is Titleist’s global flagship and is well within its warranty period regardless of the purchase date (due to its recent launch), I am disappointed that I cannot find a way to have the head inspected by the manufacturer.
I am a local resident and am more than happy to pay for the shipping costs to the Newmarket facility myself. I just need a Direct Return Authorization (RA) to ensure the product reaches the right hands for a fair evaluation.
Has anyone else in the community dealt with this "retailer-manufacturer loop"? Any guidance from the Titleist Consumer Relations team here would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and for making the best clubs in the game.
www.titleist.com/.../le0w802ymyqwuaoucfhswww.titleist.com/.../m2zhn5iyf8ostmlf3fxc

Scotty Cameron fittings (Ontario)

First off it stinks being left as far as putters go so right off the bat I’m handcuffed. I have a set of 1991 Titleist Tour Model - blades (one iron to pitching wedge) that are showing the typical signs of wear from playing for a period of 5-10 years. These irons have been sitting in a golf bag in my basement for the past 20 years or so.

This iron set was the first full set that I had ever purchased and I have been a loyal Titleist player ever since. There is of course, some sentimental attachment to these irons that I just can't or won't part with. I typically bring out the one and two irons a couple times a year to see if I can still hit them. Much more difficult now that I am in my early 60's!

Any ideas or thoughts on getting them cleaned up and sparkling once again?

Woke up the other day to see the GT series has dropped in price in Canada... (And FJ traditions dropped to $140 LOL). fantastic news. Is anyone buying one or getting fit for the GT? I myself bought a TSR 2 driver and a 16.5* fairway metal when the TSR series did a price drop and looking forward to hopefully getting a GT2 driver.

My question, who/where do you get fit? I was fit for the TSI3 years ago and outgrew it as when we dod the a/b testing the TSR2 was the clear winner on the track man. I have always used 9* drivers in A2 setting for last two fit sessions and am thinking to just pull the trigger and give er a go. so to speak but I guess has anyone done club fitting at Golf Town? It would cost me $60 then id probably order it from Titleist as the shaft is glued to your fit position and call me crazy but the graphics can set me off by being "busy"

Ive always been fit into the same tensei 55g blue shaft. only difference last two fittings went from 45" to 45.5 and noticed a little longer driving distance for me so I would assume the shaft would stay the same as I really like it a lot....

Previous two times fittings were done at my old club (Truro Golf Club) which is a Titleist pro shop. When fit was done and clubs were ordered, the fitting charge was waived. At GT I'd have to pay a $60 fee.....

I work at a "tailor-made" club as the equipment mechanic/junior greenskeeper and going to University of Guelph doing my turf grass management program so the club I work at, we would never have a "Titleist fitting" hence asking about Golf Town....

I saw improvements going from TSI3 to TSR2 and hopefully will see a difference going to GT2.

Looking for opinions on fitting options.

Thank You

I'll try to get to the point in my post (may be winded and looking for opinions) As handicap golfers who have different goals and objectives, we all play golf for different reasons. I work at a GC and play 100 plus rounds a year and practice regularly every week.

Many of us take up golf and life gets in the way then we return to golf from what I've discovered. Me myself I returned to golf again in the pandemic (started golf at age 15 and am 53 currently). Ive recorded many stats in Golf canada for 5 years and had a handicap go from 14 to a 7.1 at best. It's a 8.4 currently. I have read many strategies on handicap reduction and worked hard on my swing in a trackman with lessons, and got fit for equipment and improved dispersion and keeping the ball in play. I am a 9 handicap golfer at my course off the white tees and want to improve.

One strategy this year (from the book every shot counts- Mark Broadie- excellent book BTW) was as an amateur golfer to have "realistic expectations" for our handicaps. I have blown many a round this season not understanding realistic expectations vs result and as a result hung on to too much negative energy which I couldn't shake whole round (id compound and blow up every hole after that and aim to keep it under 90) I look to improve on this, this season. One example he suggests is the 10% rule which I was unaware of. eg: 150 yards fairway would be 10% green = 15 yards from flagstick (15 x 3) 45 feet from hole then work towards percentages on putting. (eliminate double bogeys and high numbers) Basically a strategy of 10% from 150,100,50 yards in if this makes sense. This method I've never heard and when I understood it it resonated with me big time.

This being said I have learned to pace off putts in recreational rounds. I found it has helped take pressure off me in casual and tournament play. It has worked for me and want to continue on this path... As I want to improve. I had a week late this summer with all sub 80's rounds which for me is epic.

Now here is my question... Is pacing off putts a "slow play" move??? because I have been told by mates I take it "too serious" I have around a 15-45 second routine doing this method? As well as deliberate pre shot routine for me this season has helped in less losing balls and improved my FIR & GIR percentages (improved GIR by 13% this last season) however pacing putts for me "gives me a game plan" on the greens if this makes sense.

I am interested to hear peoples thoughts and opinions on this one.
Always looking for ways to improve.

Thank You

I know several that have switched GT3 to GT2.
I love the feel of the GT2 and hit it well. It spins too much for me to maximize my efficiency which is too bad because it feel so goo to me.
The GT3 felt more boardy to me when I hit it compared to the GT2 I have now, but I am curious if that is something that adapts. Just curious if anyone out there has made the switch.

It got me wondering if there’s ever been a BC / Lower Mainland get-together before.

With Northview being home to the Titleist Fitting Centre, it feels like a natural place to plan something once early spring rolls around. The idea would be a relaxed get-together with a round of golf, some time to talk gear and fittings, and a chance to meet fellow Team Titleist members in person.

If something like this has been done before, I’d love to hear how it worked. If not, I think it could be a fun way to kick off the season and put some faces to usernames.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Wishing all the staff at Team Titleist and all my fellow TT members a Very Merry Christmas and many birdies in 2026 !!!!
www.titleist.com/.../wyoq6e5ilzfvizfejstz

AIM vs enhanced alignment Pro v1

Hey guys. I am stuck between two balls, shot my best rounds this year with a AVX aim 360 (Really like it and goes very long for me) However I will play almost as much Pro V1. I really dig the 360* alignment and with the latest AVX it's changed in a very great way for me. Highly underrated

So my question is when I play a pro V1 which I equally do, ( The 25 ball is the best to date. very straight. not as long as AVX but I found my dispersion much tighter vs 23 model...

I really like the AIM balls. There must be someone else out there like me that likes alignment marks?? The AIM avx drew me in because it was a ball I did not have to sharpie. (More durable alignment marks) With the sharpie, they smudge, wear off etc. and I always change balls every round.

Has anyone here tried the enhanced alignment and the AIM red line ball with the pro v1? I want to order 2 dizen to try. I am wondering peoples opinion on these balls. 3 fine lines vs a more pronounced thick line (easier to see)

I think it's a great idea they came out with these balls. Sharpie is OK but as the line wears in a round I find it distracting seeing the line slowly wear down and disintegrate.

Thanks

He completely transformed my entire bag. I first went to him to get fit for irons and ended up in a T250 4-iron and T150 5–P — never once feeling pressured or rushed. The experience was so good that I went back a couple months later for a retro fitting on my TSR3.

Before that, I had been using Studio X at Golf Town, and honestly, the difference was massive. Studio X was basically, “Try this, try this, try this… okay, you’re good.” No explanations, no TrackMan breakdown, and every time the fitter pushed me into cally because he’s the rep there and gets a kickback. I even tried a Titleist driver there, but he barely looked at the numbers or tried different shafts just one shaft 5 hits move on and steered me toward cally.

After getting fit for my irons, I picked up a demo TSR3 on my own and brought it to Tom. That’s when everything changed.

Tom watched me hit four shots with my current driver and immediately spotted what was going on. He told me my swing speed was 108–110 mph — and that I should’ve been in an extra stiff shaft the whole time. He explained exactly why the shaft in my old driver wasn’t keeping up.

Then he had me try a setup with an extra stiff Tensei 1K Black that was 1 inch shorter… and it was game-changing.
Switching to the proper flex and shorter length added 40 yards to my drive. My ball flight came down, my landing angles got way better, and the consistency was night and day.

He took the time to show me where on the face I was striking the ball, walked me through every piece of TrackMan data, explained my strengths and weaknesses, and made sure I understood why he was fitting me the way he did.

I’m playing with way more confidence now.
Easily the best, most honest, and most professional fitting experience I’ve ever had.

If you want a proper fitting from someone who actually cares and knows what they’re doing, Tom is your guy — no question.
www.titleist.com/.../hs6b1diols9sof1zk65a

Driver shaft

I am looking to purchase ATMOS TOUR SPEC BLACK 8 for my GT4 driver.
